My first month in Malaysia has been busy, overwhelming and pretty amazing. I spent some of it in Kuala Lumpur but am now settled in with my host family in Johor Bahru. I spend a lot of my time volunteering with my mother at the Johor Chesire Home for the mentally and physically handicapped.
A special thanks to the U.S. State Department for funding the YES program, my very welcoming host family and supportive natural family and friends.
